The Minnesota Public Employees Association, Inc. (MNPEA) was established to provide Public Employees in Minnesota with an alternative to the standard National and International Unions. The Minnesota Public Employees Association is structured to give the Members control over their representation. The Business Agents and Board answer to the Members who, by the Constitution, have an override authority on the decisions of the Board. This is truly a New Concept in Labor Representation.

On August 2nd, the MN Bureau of Mediation Services certified election results for the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office Supervisors Unit. The election results were 10 to 1 for Minnesota Public Employees Association, Inc. The BMS certified MNPEA as the exclusive representative for the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office Supervisors Unit.

On March 19th, the MN Bureau of Mediation Services certified election results for the Edina Police Dispatchers Unit. The ballot count was 6 for MNPEA, 0 for Teamsters Local 320 and 0 for No Representation. Minnesota Public Employees Association, Inc. was certified as the exclusive representative for the Edina Police Dispatchers Unit.
